Spring clean your yard

Spring has sprung, and that means it's time for spring cleaning!  While you probably haven't thought about your yard in a few months, you'll be using it more in the upcoming warm weather.  Now's the time to start prepping:

• Clean your yard of any debris: twigs, leaves, dog waste
• Use last year's leaves and twigs for composting if you garden
• If there's no more snow, pour some fertilizer and grass seeds on any bald spots in your yard
• Change your oil and spark plugs in your lawn mower
• Prune your trees and bushes
• Prep plant beds if you're going to have a garden
• Manage any gravel in your driveway or walkway
• Patch and repaint your fence
